1. Introduction- vidpreview1.mov (1.6mb)

The videos available on this preview are taken from the orientation presentation conducted for Purdue University’s 4,000 new students during their Boiler Goldrush.

2. Special Topics- vidpreview2.mov (6.6mb)
This video contains clips of material used when addressing:
Youth and Alcohol, Advertising, Drinks, Special Considerations, Women and Alcohol, Tolerance and Addiction.
3. Social Norms & Impairment Problems- vidpreview3.mov (7.4mb)
Social norming strategies have become an integral part of many campus prevention programs. The language used in the presentation is consistent with this strategy. As a matter of fact, your social norms messages can be integrated into the program.

Combining a social norms message with an educational program regarding alcohol is a difficult balancing act. However, it is important that we educate students about some of the concerns we share regarding high risk alcohol use.

4. More Impairment Problems- vidpreview4.mov (5.4mb)
Many cases of alcohol poisoning occur for our first year students. Therefore, it is important they have information regarding high risk drinking and alcohol poisoning. Additionally, they should also be aware of the signs of alcohol poisoning in their peers.
5. Party Strategies- vidpreview5.mov (2.6mb)
Party strategies including abstinence are presented during this portion of the program. Students enjoy the introductory video piece.

Also contained here is the wonderful response from the Purdue Students.
